While I'm a fan of some Adam Sandler flicks (Waterboy, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore), Mr Deeds is just a mess of a movie. It could've gone for the stupid-but-funny approach (waterboy) or it could've gone for the some-kind-of-story-to-tell-but-still-funny approach (big daddy) but Mr Deeds is caught in the mediocre middle. Not really all that funny, not really all that "touching". I'm still confused on how a movie as bland as this can make over $100 million. There's about 3-4 jokes in the whole movie and even those were done to death in the trailer. Sorry but I just didn't like this movie at all and believe it could've been better if they just would've spent more than a couple hours on the script. 3/10
