I was expecting it to be like 'Billy Madison' since the trailer made it seem very similar, but it just ain't as silly as you'd expect if you've seen all the first ones, it has a more mature purpose to it. Following a trend, of course Rob Schneider has to make his little cameo in here, and every once in a while there's an off-the-wall joke (not many are revealed in the trailer).. but other than that, Adam Sandler doesn't give his usual child-man performance, and has a reason for kicking people's arses! And in the end does good for the less fortunate. Unfortunately I never cared for Winona Ryder in any form, and couldn't really catch the chemistry here. Not to disrespect the works of the writers and producers here, I just couldn't accept her being Adam Sandler's lover in a movie. Overall, it was pretty good. |
