No actually, I quite enjoyed this film - watching it for the first time only recently. I'm surprised I hadn't seen it earlier, because at a younger age I had seen a Temple of Doom and enjoyed it whole heartedly. It's obvious that, like Star Wars, Lucas and Spielberg attempted (and succeeded) to recapture the boyhood spectacle of action adventure Saturday morning shorts that they no doubt relished at younger ages - & that's the very essence of the film - a bit of fun best watched sitting up on your knees with a bowl of cereal or popcorn. The supernatural themes towards the end are incongruous and faulter in consequence. And, while maybe Harrison Ford could have afforded to change his facial expression every now and then, he encaptures and carries the masculine body of the film that has a child inspired mind at the controls.
