Anyone who says this movie wasn't any good should get dragged into the street and ran over by a huge fucking boulder. This movie is one of my top ten greatest movies of all time. It has the best formula for a great summer movie, and it was made in 1981! It has action, adventure, comedy, and romance. Also good visual effects for its time, with an intrigueing storyline to boot. What else would you expect from a script written by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg. Harrison Ford is perfect as the archaeologist who tries to stop a bunch of Nazis from acquiring the Ark of Convenant before they use it to destroy the world. Pretty intense stuff for an archaeologist. There's not much I have to say about this to convince anyone that this movie is one of the all time greats. If you haven't seen it then get your ass to a video store and rent it or just wait till November for the DVD set to come out. Also check out the other two sequels if you haven't already. the Temple of Doom, and the Last Crusade. These are just as good as the original. Not many trilogies usually have the lasting power of the original, but this trilogy delivers in spades. 10/10 for me. All the way!!
