I love kung-fu movies and this one really impressed me on that standpoint. However, the acting and the characters were REALLY REALLY bad, especially Jet Li! I think he's good at fighting, but he's terrible at acting and the character he played needs to have a good actor playing him. Jet Li just can't be the main bad guy and the main good guy, he's just not good enough. The other actors didn't help much either, especially Jason Statham. He's a good actor in The Transporter and The Italian Job, but he seems to suck at acting in this one. The other actors are just fair. The storyline in The One was pretty cool too. I liked how they had different dimensions and how the same person had different lives in each dimension. I thought it was hilarious how in one dimension Al Gore was president, and in the other dimension George W. Bush was president. Overall, it's cool action and interesting plot keeps the movies from being utter crap. The One- 5/10 |
