I think that I'm turning into sequel - gal...2 sequels in as many weeks. Okay, my take on this sequel - There was so much to try and absorb. As far as characters go: Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were again my favourite when it came to the characters in the movie. Wolverine - not one of my faves, was okay. Storm - bleh. Again I found her to be completely uninteresting. Who I did like was Nightcrawler. He added a nice new dimension to the group. Kelly Hu as the controlled mutant - she was cool. As for the story - the whole wolverine part and him trying to figure out his background - bored me to tears until the interaction with his creator. I was much more interested in why Jean was having problems - and they didn't really explore that. But I guess that will be left for the next sequel. I liked the somewhat prosaic combining of good and bad mutants to get rid of Stryker. Typical of comic book stories: "let's combine forces to get rid of the greater evil! and all will be right with the world!" I liked the special f/x - specially Nightcrawler in the first scene when he appeared. Cool. And the Wolverine/Hu fight - nifty. Overall I liked the film, in it's predictable nature. 7.5/10
