| 8/10 I enjoyed this movie a lot. It was funny, full of action, and had an all-star cast to back it up. not only that, but featured underrated actors (Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, Kelly Hu, and a quick couple of scenes with Daniel Cudmore) at their best. It featured some great effects and acting from the lead actors. The story was very in-depth and had good suspense to back it up. The ending of the film was good for people unaware of the comic book, and just enough of a hint for comic book fans. This is the dawn of a new age spearheaded by Marvel Comics. Anyone will realize that each of these comic book movies is a free(I know, but . . ) ride to several hundred million dollars and a gold watch. But with this comes an "apocalypse" (sorry, bad joke) on the horizon. When is enough enough? There are movies being developed of comic books and heroes that NOBODY knows about. Of course, there will always be fanboys, but that's not enough. For instance, how many millions of people have heard of Iron Fist, Mort the dead teenager, and Adrenalynn??? I'm not even sure what these are. We should enjoy the quality now, as after the major ones are made, smaller, less qualified characters will ride in the backwash of the current greats. Warning sign one: Daredevil Sorry if this got off track |
