Allright, what's the result? A hour and a half full of not-so-good action sequences and b-class human relations, in other words, a big pile of s*it. During the whole movie I expected someone to come in to the theater and say: smile! you're on candid camera!
Let's get to the plot then: A female archeologist, Lara Croft(Angelina Jolie) has to find two pieces of an ancient artifact, because the fate of mankind depends on that.. and that's it.
The movie was supposed to become a deep and methaphysic adventure about a young girl trying to save the world and discover the secrets of her family. That's what I read anyway...
Tomb raider had an enormous pontential to become the movie of the year, but it trips on a bunch of cliches and badly written story...
Oh, it's not complete waste of time. It has a few bright spots in it. For example, Angelina Jolie has a pair of very attractive... guns and mainly the visual effects are OK to watch. But that doesn't save the otherwise crappy film. I don't get why anyone should watch this one; we still have good 'ol Indiana Jones trilogy... |
