One Hour Photo 7/10... One Hour Photo is a good, haunting film about an obsessed and jealous man...that features a very good performance by Robin Williams. Williams play Sy the photo guy...a lonely, meticulous photo store clerk at a SaveMart. He has no friends or relatives and is dedicated to his work...processing pictures for suburban America. He lives his life through other people's pictures and especially a young family who bring in their pictures of the happy times of their life each week. Williams' narration throughout the film gives us insight into Sy's world and the detail which he views the rest of the world through pictures. Sy is weird, creepy and obsessive, but he has a pleasant manner about him. He is not angry and crazy all th time...in fact he is very friendly with customers, employees and other people in general. Only when he sees that a certain member of the suburban family doesn't appreciate the life they have is when Sy flys off the handle. The film features a white, cold emotionless feel and a terrific haunting score. There is also one terrific scene of a dream sequence...that has to be seen to be believed! Overall One Hour Photo is a good character study of a lonely, obsessive man featuring a chilling and great peformance by Robin Williams.
