First off, all this bollocking Mike's been getting for his grade of the film is uncalled for. Stop knocking him for it, he's got his own mind for the films he likes/dislikes and as long as he's got a keyboard and all-working eight fingers, he'll keep on speaking it. Even if Christian Bale's performance was top-notch (which I completely agree with) you can't just grade a film you didn't like higher because of a performance. It's the entertainment value which matters in the end of it all. Of course if someone else absoutley loves the film then the person loathing it is gonna have to put up an argument with them, but you can't bribe them into liking it. I didn't like AMERICAN PSYCHO when I first seen it, but after watching it a couple more times, it's grown on me. However, it's no comparison to the brilliantly detailed novel. 9/10 |
