Granted, it's not a pleasant movie, and not something I'd rent myself or that I want to see again, but I'm actually glad we had to watch it in school because it was a very good film. If we wouldn't have been forced to see it, I doubt I ever would have. It's not like I just go to the video store with the intent of renting a movie about Hitler and death camps. The only other one I saw was Dances With Wolves, which I saw when I was a lot younger and I barely remember anything from it. I don't think I hated it then, but I might now. The rest I have no intention of seeing. Gladiator and Braveheart look awful. I saw part of Saving Private Ryan on TV once, but I wasn't interested and don't want to see it. I never did want to see it, and even after seeing part of it, I still have no interest. I'm not a big war movie fan. Although I do like a GOOD action film, one that actually manages to excite. |
