| I love Sean Connery. Absolutley love the man. He is the personification of a kick ass actor in my books. But i hated him here. He just didn't fit, and the movie itself fell flat on so many levels for me. The acting overall was well, sloppy to me. I really didn't get into any character except Captain Nemo and at point Hyde. The rest menat nothing to me, and I though were develpoed poorly. The editing is what really killed me. It looked sloppy and rushed. The CGI was rotten, only Hyde looked good, the rest was crap. I'll not spend anymore time telling you how much I didn't like this movie (oh yeah Shane West was awful, too many cliches). Before I go ***spoilers*** The whole Tom Sawyer, Alan Quartermain relationship, where Sawyer became like a surrogate son to him was pulled off horribly. I sat there thinking I feel nothing between them. Bad writing. ***end spoiler*** My grade, not as bad as Daredevil 2/10, but damn close 3.5/10 |
