It had a nice bubblegum quality without going overboards. Also it seeme d that everyone was in on the act so it gave the film a whole fresh appraoch i r eally liked. Then this pile of dreck came along. I have to wonder what was going through these peoples minds when they made the film. Obviously they wanted to capture the same magic from the orginal with soft core porn thrown in but t he whole thing fell apart turning into r eally boring soft core porn. Was this film supposed to empower women becuas e the Angels here felt like complete jackasses beaten only by the wasted and completely unfunny Bernie Mack. I have to admit Demi more was quite good but what movie was she in. She was playing it completely serious while all t he other actors seemed to be cashing in their paychecks. Sometimes I wonder if thes e people even met. Also i realize the first film wasnt about plot but at least there was an interesting narrative and a coherent flow of events. Here I had to w odner if they w rite the script on the spot. none of the plot strands fit well together and the whole film had a sad and tired half-assed air. then there was that whole sub-plot with dylan's boyfriend now t aking away her spirit to fight. How boring is that. All it did was make Dylan look pathetic. And since when was her boyfriend supernatural. He can walk t hrough fire. How stupid. Also what was Joh Cleese doing here. He did nothing to bring out any of the Anglels backstory. he mainly looked embarressed to be there. Did these people even read this boring truly crappy script. As I watced this film i was amazed at the mediocity that could be peddled out of hollywood. I know that shouldnt surprise but for some reason it got me here. Trash utter trash. Every time I see it my hate for it grows Charlies Angels - 8/10 CA:FT- 1/10 (tied with Order for worst film of the year |
