The DVD was finally released here a few weeks ago. So I rented and watched the movie. And it was a blast. I remember having a blast in the theater when I first saw it, and I had even more fun this time. The movie is just great. Action everywhere, lots of cool looking scenes, 3 hot angels, everything is great. This second part was much better than the first one. We have no rest in this one, it's action all the time. The first one was a little boring compared to this one. I watched the first one (Which I own on DVD) after seeing again the second one and I was bored a bit, that's why I changed my rating of the first one to a solid 7/10 (B). What I really liked about the second one is that we really get to know the angels a lot more. Dylan's back story was way cool. Natalie and Pete were really cute. And Alex and her whole father thing was just hilarious. The 3 girls were more mellow than in the first one. Alex (Lucy Liu) surprised me a lot. I didn't like her at all in the first one, but here she was funny, sweet, hot...She was great. But of course my favorite angel is still Dylan (Drew Barrymore), I just love Drew. And she looks really hot here, better than ever. Cameron Diaz looks good as usual and gives a very likable performance. Another thing I just love about these movies are the music numbers. They are lots of fun. My favorite here was the Pussy Cat Dolls number. The girls looked amazing! They were in shape also. But not everything was great about this movie, it had lots of flaws. First of all, the visual effects were really fake looking. I mean really fake looking. Some of the things they do are just too unbelivable. I know it's an Angels movie, but come one! Since when you can fly with two silk wings? (Like Demi Moore does near the ending). But I didn't let that bother me too much, because I knew that all I had to do is sit back and enjoy. The new Bosley was alright, although Bill Murray was much better. I also liked Matt Leeblank's return. He's funny and cute. And thank God Tom Green didn't return. He was a little funny at first, but got really annoying after a while. Anyway, the only thing left to say is that I'm really looking forward Part 3. I'm sure it will kick ass like this one. 8/10 or B+ |
