woops...better edit yourself a spoiler alert there, Trinity. spoiler alert******* I wanted her to forgive him. I believed him. Didint you hear the pleading in his voice? I think the reason it ends the way it does is to show you how much her father had poisoned her mind against anything like fellow-feeling or love. Great stuff but oh so frustrating!
