STAR WARS EPISODE II ATTACK OF THE CLONES starring:Hayden Christiansin,Natalie Portman,Ewan McGregor,Frank Oz

PG I have been waiting three years for this.To see the second instalment of the Star Wars series.And for the record,I thought The Phantom Menace was really good,and I also like Jar Jar Binks.And I am also a HUGE Star Wars fans.Well I don’t camp out for a year waiting in line but still,I love the Star Wars films.Anyways,Attack of the Clones was better then Episode 1.In fact I would say it’s probably the third best so far. Well before I get to my review,I will tell you the story.Amaidala is now a senator and on her way to solve a conflict between the Republic and the other guys her ship blows.Luckily sees ok but the Chancelor wants her safe.So they call up Obi-Won-Kanobi and Anakin to protect the senator.They find out it’s a bounty hunter so Obi-Won goes off to a distant planet to go find him.In the mean time Anakin will protect the senator,Anakin is really nervous ‘cuz he was a crush on the senator.Anaking tells her but she says it would ruin there lives.So back to Obi-Won well he finds out that there are clones being built for the war that is coming.He gets imprisoned,Anakin and Amidala come try to save the day but can’t and then the war and some lightsaber battles. There are so many things I want to say about this movie.Ok first off Yoda is God.He is so cool for a green little midget.Him and his lightsaber are a good couple.Watching Yoda walk out take out his lightsaber and begin to battle was funny and incredible.Natalie Portman was sooooooo hot,espically in the white thing she’s wearing.She was tight white leather pants,and a tight leather shirt that reveals her stomach.Man,Anakin is one lucky Jedi.The acting was pretty good.Hyden as Anakin was totally believe able,as he is really starting to turn to the dark side.We finally get to see Sam Jackson in his first lightsaber battle.His lightsaber was really cool,the colour purple.And he finally got a starring role,as he is now more of a main character. The special effects were too amazing.Everything was awsome when it came to the special effects.The ships,the cities everything.Now,the new Star Wars is different then the others.That’s something that is ticking a few people off.But me I say it’s for the best.It’s hard to explain how it is different like,the settings and stuff.For instance when Obi-Won goes to the far away planet we find out it’s run by these strange looking aliens.Sort of a cross over of the A.I. aliens and the Close Encounters aliens but with suits on.It goes off into a 2001:A Space Odessy kind of world.When you see it you’ll know what I mean. C-3PO and R2D2 are back.And in this one this is the beginning of there long friendship.We get to see him in some “clothing”but it’s more junk.Jar Jar does come back,but only for a few minutes.But there were some things I didn’t like about the film.The acting was pretty bad,even though I though Hayden was believe able as Anakin.The dialouge seemed forced and kinda sappy.”I will be haunted by the kiss you shouldn’t have give me.”Sorry Lucas,maybe your just not a screenwriter.They should get the guy who wrote The Empire Strikes back.The story was kinda slow and at times didn’t really work.And that bounty hunter,what a jackass. Well minus the sappy and pretty bad script,Star Wars Episode II an in all was really great.The effects were cool to look at.The battles were good,Yoda is God!Ya,Star Wars all in all was great.And I can’t wait to see the final Episode III. **** (out of 5) --Logan Groves [This message has been edited by blankpage (edited 07-11-2002).] [This message has been edited by blankpage (edited 08-08-2002).]
