Okay.....I'm just now reviewing this movie. New to the boards. Well I would have to say that I absolutely love this movie. I have always been a fan of fantasy books, games, and movies so when I heard they were making Lord of the Rings trilogy I was already in line. I also had not even read the books the first time I saw this movie but I was still able to keep up knowing some of the back story and they included a prologue anyways. They took every awesome experience from the book and kept it pretty close while managing to include all of the killer(nearly) and none of the filler that would have made it longer and boring. The amount of time and passion dedicated to this project is unbelievable and they took every aspect of middle earth into consideration. All the actors manage to do their characters justice and the special effects are through the roof. You can really feel the terror as the ringwraiths approach. The action scenes are incredibly intense as well. My favorite scenes of the movie are Balin's tomb in the Mines of Moria, and my absolute favorite is when the fellowship stands in horror and awe as they get to see the might of Gandalf as he faces the Balrog. This is definitely one of if not the best action-epic of all time; an instant classic!! Peter Jackson and company could not have done a better job!! Two thumbs up!! my rating....10/10
