Comparisons eh? Some people hate them, some love them, some thrive on them and some just do it for the fun, but I can honestly say that George Lucas really needs to study Peter Jackson's genius hard. Really hard. If the prequel episodes of Star Wars were made with as much visual flair and deep, meaninful, emotional content, then we would have been more than happy. The Fellowship Of The Ring is absolutely a triumph of film. Simply put - No film comes close to it's greatness.
I don't mean that this is the greatest film ever made, but it's such a stand-alone achievement that it should surely be heralded for it in it's own way. Everything was top-notch and pitch-perfect. There's nothing I can really add to things that have been said a million times before, by so many people. The greatest epic in film history, that is until a certain second part makes its debut. 10/10
