| Guys...First of all, this movie is one of the best movies ever! Now understandably this movie is not for everyone...but even if you arn't a die hard fan like some of us, you can't deny that it is an awesome movie if not the best movie of all. I have seen it twice so far since it has come out, (It came out on December 26th last year down here in auzzie-land!) and i fully intend on going an seeing it atleast twice more...but even though people are saying that it might not be a good movie because its not a childs movie dosn't really matter, it may not be a childrens movie as such, but i can see it breaking box office reacords definitly! And its not that hard to understand, my best friend & I went and saw it, and i got it strait away, having never seen it before and having never read the book. My best friend took another time of seeing it to understand it fully, but we are talking about 15 year olds of very average intelligence. So any adult with any concept of anything could understand it. Though you do have to admit that the names of places where interesting, but thats one of the things that makes a film so interesting, especially fantasy films. The Scenery was beautiful! Absolutly beautiful! The second time i saw the movie i was absolutly astounded by the scenery (as i was the first time) and wanted to take it home. The acting was supurb. We have not heard from Elijah Wood for a while, so it was awesome to see him in another film, and such a good one at that, the movie always reflects the acting abilitys of the cast. (one of the main things it reflects anyway) and Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins, baby! He is such a talanted actor, and a georgeous one at that, and his acting skill & talent was show with strength & it was a treat for Elijah fans! The other characters, to, where depicted beautifully & well done, the acting talent of the actor & actresses alike in the film was excalent! Some of the best acting i have ever seen. Special effects were great, a real treat for the eye. Second of all, who cares if it is not a mirror image of the book. They are not trying to create the book, they have alreday done that. They are basing the movie on the book! Not the other way around! The movie is great as a movie based on something, i actually enjoyed the movie more than i did the book. People say that the movie was drawn out, well what do you expect from a three part book, the movie was alot easier to understand and it discribed everything alot better, the books are great, because they give you the whole story, (ie, The Hobbitt), but the movie gave you only the information you needed, and it still made sence! Wonderful! Definitly an 11/10!! Well done Peter! |
