It remembered me of "Das Experiment" for some reason. "28 days later" started off pretty well - Tim finding himself alone in the world. I totally loved these scenes because I really like the idea of waking up one morning and realizing that I'm completely alone in the whole world. Anyways, the story evolved as Tim bumped into a few others with whom he managed to finally reach to the "army" they had heard of from the radio transmittor. And then the tragic really started. If before they had had to fight for their lives against infected beings, who weren't controlling their actions, then now Hannah, Selena and Tim had to start fighting against other men, who were basically in the same situation as they. That was the sadest part of the movie - to realize that even at the moment, where people are facing extinction, they continue destroying each other. Films like "28 days later" or "Das Experiment" are scary because they show the true pale of human nature, the grotesque twists of mind in the border-situation. But sometimes it feels as if "do I really have to know?" |
