SPOILER!!!....In the director's cuts of the last six episodes (which are available in R1 DVD, by the way), they do find out. Episode 24 begins with Asuka's flashback about her mother, followed by Shinji telling her about Kaji.END SPOILER Quote: And weapon, I 'worship' End of Evangelion. Can't help it. Asuka has one of the greatest moments in a film I've ever seen. True dat. Quote: Regarding the finales, this won't be a spoiler, but one is "mental" and one is "physical". In one we see what happens in the mind, the other the physical world, the reality of "it". Right? The problem was EoE, while showing the physical happenings of "it", also showed the mental ones. So in a way it encompassed both. Well, it's obvious EoE doesn't take place entirely in the physical world. I personally consider the last two episodes of the series akin to deleted scenes from the movie. |
