Alright, I'm not as down on this one as Tarantino above me is, but I felt let down after seeing it. Some of the things that really bugged me were the editing. It seemed really choppy at times (I guess that's why in the opening credit RR put chopped instead of edited). Going from scene to scene was very abrupt, and not consistent. If it happened every time, I would say it was his style, but it wasn't consistent at all. The action had way to many fast moving shots. What ever happened to actually showing someone kick the shit out of another person without having quick pan and zoom shots hiding the fact that they couldn't beat the shit out of a gnat. ***possible spoiler*** Too many sub plots. Yeah it's nice to make us think, but in this case I thought it took away from the overall story a tad. ***end spoiler*** Johnny Depp is the real deal. Just like Pirates, he makes the movie. No Depp, and this thing is piss blowing in the wind. Banderras was alright, and truthfully, I was thinking I was going to see more of him then I actually did. Speaking of being in a movie and not doing shit....Selma Hyak...what the hell...she is the hottest thing in movies (imo) and she gets what?....2 lines. Popcorn fun at best. Major letdown for ole Doc...that's for sure. 5/10
