| Posted by: quoth_the_raven at February 22, 2003, 11:30 am | | Topic: Reviews: The Ring Forum: JoBlo | | wow oh wow oh wow. i was totally sucked into this film. i love watching a good old mystery unfold.very dark, plays on the nastier side of the imagination. keeps u rooted to the seat watching every detail the whole time. not scary as such,maybe creepy (the more u think about it, the creepier it gets) and really really tense. i had a great time. it ended 3 and a half hours ago, and i can not get it out of my head. i have the original on tape at home, so i may take time out to watch it and make a comparison to this. on a side point, ms watts is some rather fine eye-candy. and a good actress as well. she really carried this film off well. if you want a dark disturbing tale, that plays in the dark side of you mind, catch this movie. if you want laughs and fluffy bunny rabbits, id probably skip it. 9/10 |
