The reason is this: By the first "fake ending" I thought I understood the moral of the stoy. About how the family didn't know how to take care of the little girl so they tossed her down a well. This sort of resembled The woman, her son, and his father, who didn't take responsibility for his child. And by the "fake ending" I sort of thought that the moral had to do with taking resonsibility for your kids. And it looked as though the boy's mother and father were to get back together again. Bad idea. Needless to say, the boy's father is killed, and we're left with a cheesy cliffhanger. Oh, well over all, 7/10. |
