But this one was good too, it had an attractive female lead (yummy! Naomi Watts), a very scary atmosphere (this one actually scared me more) and some really cool scenes. To me, the Japanese version lacked those things (except the female lead, she was cool too). But I liked the Japanese version better because I saw it first, the movie was more original and it was way more cleaver. This one is just a remake, I watch it for guilty pleasures, I don't know, The Ring is just a very scary, creepy, intriguing movie that's kind of like a ride. I just felt really good after watching this movie and loved being scared out of my wits. Overall, it's a very entertaining film with kool visual effects, but the Japanese version was more original. |
