' How many movies with the number 3 after them are any good' quoted director Jonathon Mostow shortly before the release of his movie 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' Well, we can all quote him back saying that he has made one. T3 is what every summer movie should be. It takes a different sort of path from the first two movies with lots more spectacular scenes and a few one-liners from Arnie ' Talk to the hand ' He can be funny when he doesn't try to be. And speaking of spectacular scenes, the highway chase chews the Matrix Reloaded's chase and spat it out. I couldn't contain a smile while watching the chase. Mostows direction in action scenes is wonderful. And the movie is not afraid to show off its huge buget ( Around $120 million) Imagine the cost to repair the damage caused by the chase. The acting is great too.Nick Stahl jumped into John Connors skin. He was really believable in the character and very emotional. Claire Danes was also very believable and likable. Now the machines: Arnie is The Terminator, nothing more to be said. Kristanna Loken .............................. is hot. As of course , she passes for a machine and in some style. Conclusion is: With a bigger story in place, this would be better.But its a Terminator movie and it kicks ass. 8/10
