"Identity" starts out as a typical thriller where one by one the ten guests at a Nevada desert motel start dying except for the first couple of minutes at beginning where a murderer is being asked questions by his psychiatrist. Then at the end the motel story and the hearing story come together in a sheer genius of a conclusion! But, the nice thing is you have a couple of twists inside the big major twist to keep you very interested all the way through the movie. John Cusak did a good job as the calmest and sanest of the bunch. My favorite was Amanda Peet who was a former Vegas call girl and also liked John Hawkes who played the fake hotel manager. I liked the visual look of the film of the rainy rundown motel and the music to convey the sinister feel of the film. This small, little ninety minute film was really a nice surprise. Grade: 7.5/10 B
