A wicked film with a great premise, solid acting, and lots of twists and turns. I can definitely say I was creeped out the whole way through and jumped quite a few times. This movie definitely is not for "zee squeamish" as Joblo so eloquently put it. That scene with the baseball bat did it for me..wow. Genius. Amanda Peet impressed me somewhat and the brief appearance by Rebecca DeMornay (ooh la la!) was also quite good.. I had only one main issue with this film. Clea DuVall. All she did was cry and scream. I could've done with out her. Not that she is a bad actress by any stretch of the imagination, but her part was just way too thin. And her annoying "husband" who wasn't much of a husband if he couldn't even put his arm around her and comfort her..I was glad to see his character bite the big one. Other than those two minor flaws, this film is definitely all-around entertaining and will keep you guessing and probably jumping a few times. I can't say I'm gonna see it again, maybe, if for its great concept and good actors. But not worthy to be added to my collection of favorites. |
