Holy fucking pretentious horseshit! I tried to understand the film. Then I just tried to enjoy it. Then I tried not to walk out of the film. I succeeded on that count only because I was hoping an explanation would come. Explanations are not always warranted in films- in fact the lack of them sometimes makes the film all that much better. This one, however, needed something more than random images passed off as a film. I still fail to see the brilliance. Everyone talks about the sub-text and hidden meanings.....the sheer brilliance! What in the fuck is the subtext behind a close up of dog shit and miniaturized grandparents? How bout a dead spanish whore who then doesn't exist but turns out to be the lead character who is stalked by a monkey/homeless person that lives behind a glorified Waffle House? FUCKING BRILLIANT! Add in the espresso vomiting guy and you have the most brilliant film of all time! Someone should grab Lynch and beat his head against a table corner for a couple hours. That would be the equivalent of watching his drivel. You know next time I get plastered I think I'll just write down everything I remember plus the dreams I had and try to pass it off as art...... That hot chick at the bar, burnt popcorn, a jar of Tang flying off a skyscraper, Martin Lawrence french-kissing Delta Burke, and a three legged kangaroo with an abnormally large head that works as the librarian in a small town..... SHEER FUCKING BRILLIANCE I tell ya! I think I have a new film to be put on my all time torture me to death with a piping hot cheese grater and stuff my mouth full of warm cat urine while Rosie ODonnel strip dances and John Goodman slowly caresses himself but it's better than watching this shit list!
