The Sweetest Thing - 3/10 Not the sweetest movie. I dunno if it's just a guy thing, since this movie was obviously not intended for guys, or it was just plain bad. Cameron Diaz usually pulls through in her movies, but didn't shine in this one. My biggest complaint the plot was... how can I put this bluntly.... NONEXISTANT! If anything, it was just a compilation of girl talk to reach a corny story line that's been done a trillion times before. When the climax of a story is the lead characters singing "It's too big to put in here" referring to what to say to a man to keep him, it's time to kick this DVD out and call it a night. It was a rather funny sequence, but mainly due to all the people in the club singing and dancing to the song (including a rather amusing old lady dancing). I don't even remember the other so-called humor here, which says a lot... and Christina Applegate (one of whom made me in a good spot about watching this movie) was barely even recognizable! It just sucked! I will give a mere 3 points for effort and the above mentioned joke, but other than that, my heart would have pumped just the same if I had never seen the film.
