The Matrix (6/10)
I feel this is one of the most overrated sci-fi movies ive ever seen. People have been proclaiming this to be the greatest movie ever made, when its strictly average. A better example of the plot was Dark City, which didn't need cheesy martial art fights to carry the film and sell tickets. Roger Ebert put it best in his review about Dark City, and was right on with The Matrix. its a good looking film, sure, but could've used some more rewrites to have a 3rd act, flesh out characters, etc. BTW was I the only one who noticed
spoiler for any1 who cares when Neo is shooting the guards in the lobby, when he does the somersault and starts shooting, the gun is pointing in the wrong direction? that was classic end spoilers |
