Monkeybone - 5/10 Another funny-ass Brendan Fraser movie combined with some interesting CGI.. although it probably wasn't good enough to consider watching in theaters (which most people figured out... 4.9M) it was quirky enough to make an interesting sunday night at home. It almost makes you wonder as goofy as Brendan Fraser is, if he actually dreamed this movie up on his own. The downside would be that the goofiness eventually just ends up silly or just plain dumb.. eventually the monkey is just losing his edge, and the whole lead cast just begins to act like they are tired of working on this film. Also, replacing Whoopi Goldberg's character would be an improvement, and cutting the Tom Green-esque humor down a notch to keep it from losing its cleverness. Overall, right down the middle. A good video only.
