| I think your review is uninteresting. It's completely impersonal and you seem to be regurgitating the facts everybody knows already. Why are you so amazed at the technical merits of CK, even though many contemporary films are vastly superior to it in this regard? These merits and the fact that Welles was very young when he directed the movie seem to be the only reasons why you like it, as you don't say anything about the story or characters, what kind of thoughts and feelings they generated in you, etc. The fact that CK has been very influential in the past doesn't make it any better a movie, unlike you think. When I read a movie review I expect some personal insight that is lacking in your review. Sorry if this insults you, that is not my intention. I'm attacking your half-assed review, not you. |
