I came into this movie expecting a decent remake. I was excited by the prospect of seeing a little different version of the original. 2. It created the chance to enjoy a new line of Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, like what Texas Chainsaw the next generation is he going to be a 21st century hermaphradite this time. There aren't going to be anymore Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies and this recent one just hurt the mystique of the series even more. You have to admit that the acting wasn't good. All the new storylines were god awful. The Baby, Franklin wasn't in a wheel chair, all the names were changed. The girl commiting suicide was dumb, not scary in anyway, Leatherface getting his arm chopped off was horrible, R Lee Emery reverting back to a full metal jacket role was horrible, the best part the grandfather at dinner was taken out. When you said that Tobe had a chance with this new one to create a better plot is a falsehood, because he had nothing to do with this movie and didn't want anything to do with it and I can't say I blame him. This movie was awful It might as well of been produced by sci-fi pictures. Along with such movie classics as Boa V.S. Python, Frankenfish, and Asylum of the Damned. NEW TCM 1/10 |
