| I walked into 50 First Dates with low expectations. I never really liked Adam Sandler movies, but I love Drew Barrymore. When I heard this movie was more serious, I was very happy. That being said, it was actually pretty funny, but at the same time, a lot of it was really sad. Didn't make me tear up or anything, but it was sad. Drew Barrymore stole the show, I just love her, her and Adam Sandler have great cemistry. This is by far one of Adam Sandler's best performances, he was very good as well. This is the first real date movie of 2004, unless you count the almost-shit movie Win A Date With Tad Hamilton. It's a touching, sweet, and sad film that everyone should see. 7/10, (B), (***) |
