Moulin Rouge was a huge surprise to me because i absolutely hate musicals. i did however really enjoye this film. the direction and cinematography were excellent and all the scenes look great with nice use of colour, there were also some good CG moments. usually songs in musicals really annoy me but the songs in Moulin Rouge were very good being well written and sounding great. the performances were also mostly very good and helped me get into the film although on watching some of it again i didnt find it to be as good as first time round, Moulin Rouge is still a highly enjoyable film, which is saying something since i friggin hate musicals 9/10
