Powerful is the best word to describe this film. This is not a pleasant or enjoyable film to sit through. It is, however, very powerful on all fronts. Brutally honest and unflinching in its portrayal of the drug culture in the United States, this film is one that will stay with you. The acting is superb. You can truly believe the actors are junkies. You feel their pain and you can almost feel their cravings. Rarely has pain been this palpable on the big screen before. 8/10
