Just got back from seeing "The Butterfly Effect" and I'd have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Interesting plot, nice twists and turns, decent acting. I kinda thought all of the actors drifted into carictatures of themselves in some of the life altering twists, but nothing too distracting. The biggest surprise for me was how graphic and violent the film is. I'm all kinds of down with Tarantino and Scorsese films, and this film brings that kind of intensity. Not that kind of drama, but with the violence and themes in this motha, the director definitely doesn't pander to the MPAA ratings board. Overall, not a "life altering" film(sorry, had to do it...) BUT definitely worth taking a look at if you think the premise is interesting. Now I gotta go get some stank on my hangdown....OUT.
