| I love anime but it has it's problems and one to begin with is how plain this entertainment is. When a film such as perfect blue comes and it's the only real film of it's kind, it's wonderful. Without any answers to the end, and a plot you can try to unravel for as long as you try perfect blue is a big confusing nightmare. Yet it is so excellent that it doesn't matter anymore whether you get it or not. PB is perfect as a thriller, it never lingers off, and the rape scenes, nudity, gore, and bizzare eeriness create an entierly new demension of anime. this is one of the only few great anime films ever made, I couldn't even name 10 in total, but perfect blue would still be way up there even if there were a million great anime movies. 9.8/10 |
