The movie was a pile of shit, honestly. It had big goals, but everything with Violet looked airbrushed and the effects were terrible. I also hate that Cameron Bright kid and his doey eyed face and wished he died in the movie. Irritating. But I do feel that there is a good movie underneath that was waiting to get out, but was hacked away by the studios. And to an extent, it may be true since Wimmer was kicked off the project late in the game and the studio re-edited it
