The thing is, while Affleck gave a good performance, I didn't buy that Reeves was truly depressed. So depressed that he would kill himself. This isn't entirely Affleck's fault, part of the fault does lie in the movie itself for dwelling on how depressed Reeves was about his career. He just seemed kind of annoyed, not truly depressed about it. As a result, it was easier to buy the other two conspiracy theories than what was probably the truth. I liked Adrian Brody's stuff actually. I thought Brody gave a good performance and he's really the anchor of the movie. We see the story really through his eyes. The movie is not really about George Reeves but about Brody investigating his mysterious suicide. I think it's effective storytelling regardless of whether Brody's character was real or not.
