Topic: No Routh in Superman Sequel Forum: JoBlo

I think that most people will agree that the coolest part about Superman Returns was the scene where Lex was beating the shit out of Superman on that huge floating kryptonite landmass. We need to see Superman struggle with life and MUCH more physically demanding villians. Nothing against Luther, but he is afterall just a human going against an alien who can, in one swoop, reverse time by spinning around the earth? That shit is to unbelievable (and I am not saying that other comic book stuff IS believable, but come on), and whoever takes the helm for the next Superman movie needs to understand that. What makes Smallville so great is that we get to see Clark's personal life and struggles but also that his powers aren't as magnificent as the comics/previous movies led us to believe. Just tone down the next Superman movie and make America like Superman again.
