Another masterpice from the genius of Mel Gibson. You might be wondering why such a new film is in my top 10. The same reason The Departed, The Fountain, Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth entered other peoples top ten lists... movies today aren't as bad as people think they are and some are quite frankly extremly great films. "Apocalypto" is probably the most underrated movie from last year after "The Fountain". It was absolute badass 80's style action sequences with intense violence and shot with goddamned passion (. . . really no pun intended) with a gorgeous backdrop. I can't wait till Sunday when I buy it and I can rewatch the fuck out of it.
