It was fine a few times, especially because he picked roles where was just a douche so it kind of worked, but he's even giving himself bigger (and LOUDER... CAN YOU HEAR ME YET!?!? LOUUUUDDD-EEEERRR!!!!) roles in his films as he goes along- dude, you're a self-absorbed prick. At least stop letting it show. To note- Pulp Fiction is one of the best movies of all time. Yes, the dude can make it work. But to me, it's clear he thinks that by going and doing a ton of "cheesy" movies he can hide his problems as a director (and as a person) behind the guise of "oh it's SUPPOSED to be bad". Grindhouse is a gigantic example of me being tired of that. I didn't enjoy it at all, and 'tino's role in it was a huge blemish at best, adding insult to injury. |
