I've read the book (a number of times) and listened to the audio book once or twice. They both gave me goosebumps at one time or another. I hope the movie does the same for me. This is easily one of the best books I've ever read. I have no idea if production company "A" would do a better job than company "Z", but I hope whoever gets this tries to go above the normal B-list zombie flick. I would be very interested to see an ambitious zombie movie... that hasn't been attempted since the original NOTLD (Romero is the King of all zombies)! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE zombie movies of all shapes and sizes, but some new ground needs to be covered to establish the zombie as something other than fodder for lame pop culteral jokes! I hope that the dead will rise and actually scare me like the book did and like very few zombie movies ever have...
