Not only is The Spiderwick Chronicles good, but it is great. The story is very interesting, engaging and original. The film itself looks absolutely stunning, props to the director and cinematographer. The only weak spot was the acting. Freddie Highmore was great as usual, but I found the girl who played the sister wasn't very good even for a young actress. If you've been bummed out by the amount of shittacular fantasy of late, go see The Spiderwick Chronicles and I can almost guarantee that you won't be disappointed. |
