It got exactly what it deserved, nice praise and a lot of people loving it. Personally I think it's a good film but nothing spectacular. Bowie as Tesla, Jackman, Bale and Caine were all good, I liked the competition between the two leads that turned into an obssession. I really didn't find much point to the Scarlett Johanson character and every time she was on screen she pissed me off and the ending it was kind of predictable what Bale's trick was. Good stuff though, I liked it slightly better than the Illusionist. 7/10 Jackman's best performance is The Fountain
Nolan's best films are Memento and Batman Begins
Bale was of course better in numerous films like American Psycho, Rescue Dawn, I'm Not There etc... |
