Look, we have already bogged this thread down with such a pointless (not to mention off topic) arguement to begin, I don't want to continue to bogg it down but the reason why I called you arrogant is that you keep insisting that people who don't like the movie misunderstand it and that is simply not true. It's understood very well. You just don't agree with it. And that is fine. You are entitled to your opinion. But saying that people misunderstood the movie is just flat out wrong and ignorant. You are essentially saying that your opinion is the only right one. Anyone else who disagrees simply doesn't understand the movie. Don't you understand how incredibly arrogant that kind of logic sounds? Don't you get the concept of an opinion? I'll totally admit when I don't understand a movie (2001, The Fountain and Mulholland Drive, the latter which I liked, the former two I didn't care for, although in 2001's case I did enjoy the first two thirds). Miami Vice isn't one of those. And while I might understand getting an actor's name wrong might be a pet peeve for somebody, I think saying that it has any effect on how seriously you take their arguement is balogney. |
