Whereas I found The Darjeeling Limited to be a solid mix of comedy and drama with some scenes that were amusing and some that were actually quite touching. I really believed in the chemistry between the brothers. It was a very good movie. A definitely huge step up from the failed Life Aquatic. The Royal Tenenbaums is still my favorite Wes Anderson and is a PERFECT mix of comedy and drama working wonderfully as both, featuring great performances from a stellar cast (especially the wonderful Gene Hackman in a note perfect performance). Infact, it's a masterpiece. I don't think Anderson will ever make a better movie. That's how much I loved it. For me it goes Darjeeling > Life Acquatic > Tenenbaums...but I realise I'm in the minority ranking Tenenbaums last. I didn't like it AT ALL when I first watched it, but have acquired a fondness after rewatching it a couple of times.
