You're supposed to think about what's going on in the movie To answer the question, I don't feel guilty because I don't always watch films for entertainment, some films 'entertain' me and some 'engage' me. Its the tragic ones I find engaging rather than entertaining, but yes, if I was entertained by (for example) the execution scenes in Schindler's List or the suffering in The Killing Fields then I would feel guilty. |
